His fully restored 1933 Waco UBF-2 exemplifies the age of barnstorming and the glory days of early aviation. Pilots could feel the wind in their face in the open cockpit design.

In 1935 Waco was the largest producer of light planes in the U.S. By 1940 more than 110 models, chiefly two-seat aerobatic trainers and four-seat cabin planes, were available.
